Luke Bella, (He/Him)

President

Luke is a senior majoring in Public Health and Political Science with a minor in Religious Studies. He joined AKPsi in Spring of 2021 with the Alpha Nu pledge class, and has previously served as Vice President of Membership, Social Chair, Fundraising Chair, and Parliamentarian for the chapter.  Outside of AKPsi, Luke also serves as a delegate for the Tulane Undergraduate Assembly.  In his free time, Luke enjoys eating pasta, watching TV, and learning fun history facts.

Conrad Gabriel, (He/Him) Executive Vice President

Conrad is a senior from Portland, ME pursuing a dual degree in Homeland Security and Real Estate and a minor in Political Science. He pledged in the Fall of 2021 as part of the Alpha Xi pledge class. Prior to EVP, Conrad served as the Pledge Instructor in the Spring of 2023. Outside of AKPsi, Conrad is an avid hiker and camper and is excited about pursuing law school.

Allie Sansone, (She/Her)

Vice President of Finance

Allie is a junior from Atlanta, GA pursuing a joint Bachelor's degree in Finance and a Master's in Accounting with a minor in Psychology. She pledged in the Fall of 2021 with the Alpha Xi pledge class. Before being the Vice President of Finance, she served as Corporate Sponsorship Officer in the Spring of 2023. Outside of AKPsi, she is a member of Tulane’s Women’s Club Lacrosse Team, and a Resident Advisor. She enjoys playing Just Dance, long walks in Audubon, and watching Braves baseball.

Ella Nyquist,

Ella is a senior from Los Angeles double majoring in Political Science and Environmental Studies, and minoring in Psychology. She joined AKPsi in the Fall of 2021 as part of the Alpha Xi pledge class. Prior to being VPM, Ella served as a Brotherhood Chair in the Spring of 2023. Outside of AKPsi she is a research intern with the Tulane Institute on Water Resources Policy & Law. In her free time, Ella enjoys to playing guitar, singing, and reading.

Simran Gupta,(She/Her)

Vice President of Membership

Simran Gupta is a senior majoring in Art History and minoring in Real Estate and SLAM (Strategy, Leadership, and Analytics). Simran is from New Orleans and joined AKPsi in Spring 2021 in the Alpha Omicron pledge class. Outside of AKPsi, Simran has held several leadership positions in the Chi Omega sorority and enjoys interning at galleries off campus. She hopes to work in an auction house in New York City after college in either a Fine Arts or Jewelry department.

Jarred Brown, (He/Him)

Master of Rituals

Jarred Brown is a senior from Zachary, Louisiana, pursuing an international relations major with a double minor in Spanish and Latin American Studies. He pledged as a sophomore in the fall of 2021 and is a member of the Alpha Xi pledge class. Postgraduate, he hopes to use his degree to pursue a career in policy analysis.

Jessie Chen, (She/Her)

Vice President of External Affairs

Jessie is a junior from Rockville, Maryland, pursuing a double major in Marketing and Political with minors in Design and Legal Studies. She pledged in the Fall of 2022 with the Alpha Pi pledge class. Outside of AKPsi, Jessie serves as a Desk Services Coordinator for Tulane Housing, Social Media Chair for Tidal Wave, and Designer for Crawfest. She enjoys working out, painting, and trying new restaurants in her free time.

Kioja Johnson,

Vice President of Administration

Kioja is a sophomore from Dallas, Texas pursing a triple major in Social Policy and Practice, Political Science, and GESS. She joined the Pi Chi chapter in the fall of her freshman year with the Alpha PI pledge class. Before being the Vice President of Administration, she served as Speaker Series in the Spring of 2023. Outside of AKPsi, she is a delegate for Tulane Undergraduate Assembly on the DEI committee, a Community Engagement Advocate, and works as a barista at a nonprofit community center called Labyrinth Cafe. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school and work in the nonprofit sector.

 

Honorary Members

Professor Toni Weiss

Toni Weiss is a Senior Professor of Practice in the Department of Economics as well as the Associate Director for Classroom Engagement at Tulane’s Center for Engaged Learning and Teaching. Her focus, both in the department and at CELT, is on creating an environment both in and out of the classroom that maximizes students’ academic, professional and personal growth while at Tulane. All of the work she does on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning she brings into the classroom, thus taking the theoretical and making it practical and functional.

In addition to her roles at Tulane, Professor Weiss does freelance economic consulting work. Her work has primarily focused on economic development within the City of New Orleans as well as on economic impact studies measuring the effects of a variety of special events that occur in and around New Orleans.
